The World Environment Day (May 2019)

1-Municipality of Kadıköy - Environmental Festival 

The event organized by Municipality of Kadıköy between 24 - 26 May 2019 in Selamiçeşme Özgürlük Park, was attended with booths this year just like every year. At the TYK booth, festival participants were informed about the environment, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and recycling. Moreover, WEEEs that were brought by participants were collected in order to recycle. 

1-a) The Sound of E-Wastes 

TYK and Rhythm Master Hakan Gürbüz organized a rhythm workshop called ‘’The Sound of E-Wastes’’ the first day of Kadıköy Environmental Festival. In the event, instruments were created from various e-wastes under the direction of rhythm master and rhythm work was carried out with the participants. Participants were informed about the environment and e-waste during the event. 

1-b) Mosaic Workshop from E-waste 

In cooperation with TYK and Atölye bi’mola, “Mosaic from E-waste Workshop” event was organized on the third day of Kadıköy Environment Festival to raise awareness of WEEE. During the event, which was held with 200 participants, decorative coasters made out of E-waste were made on the square and circle plates by sticking and painting the waste materials in line with the creativity of the participants.
