“Students Collect WEEE!” campaign (2018 – 2019)

TUBISAD Compliance Scheme’s (TYK) The “Students Collect WEEE!” campaign has been completed in which 600 schools from 61 municipalities made an application.

Within the scope of the campaign, which started with the receipt of campaign applications on 16 November 2018, the process of collecting Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in schools was completed as of 1 March 2019. In this context, TYK has decided to give extra time to collect WEEE from schools until May 2019 by popular demands from schools. At the end of the extension time, the points achieved by the schools were calculated and awards were determined based on the amount of WEEE collected.

 Within the campaign "WEEE Data in Turkey" carried out to create "EEEs and WEEEs in Our House" survey was also completed by students. Schools were awarded if 40% of the schools participated in the survey.
